SkyTower
Wrocław 6.07.2017
When my friends suggested a trip to Wrocław and asked what I would like to see, I immediately said SkyTower. I love amazing views, so my choice was no surprise to anyone.
SkyTower is the building that proudly holds the first place in Poland in terms of height to the roof, as well as to the highest floor. It measures 212 meters and cost $400 million.
What interested me most about this skyscraper was the publicly accessible observation deck located on the 49th floor, which can be easily accessed by wheelchair via an elevator. A significant inconvenience is the Ticket Office, which is located more than 100 meters from the entrance to the elevator and is situated in the Shopping Gallery on level +1.
After purchasing a ticket (cost: 12 PLN), we waited several minutes for our turn. The ride to the observation deck takes place in half-hour intervals and lasts about a minute. It was an interesting experience to accelerate and brake in the elevator.
Entering the deck and approaching the very edge of the glass floor was quite emotional. It's not every day you have 200 meters of ground beneath your feet. However, after a while, we all got used to the height and admired the beautiful panorama of Wrocław and the picturesque surroundings. We were lucky that it was a beautiful day with visibility reaching about 100 km.
I'm glad that thanks to my friends, I was able to fulfill another dream. It was nice to see well-known buildings from above, as well as those that have been built in recent years. I recommend a trip to this place for everyone, both able-bodied and disabled, who are not afraid of heights and those who love to soak in amazing views.
