Chochołowskie Thermal Baths
Chochołowskie Thermal Baths were not originally part of our trip to Zakopane, but on the day of our return friends decided to enjoy a bath in this amazing place. As the visit had not been planned in advance, I was not prepared to swim. I thought I would spend two boring hours sitting by the pool, but the time passed very pleasantly while sunbathing to the sound of water and admiring the view of Giewont. If you are looking for a place where you can combine relaxation with the beauty of the Podhale region, Chochołowskie Thermal Baths are a perfect choice. It is not only a complex of thermal pools with mineral-rich water, but also a true oasis for body and mind. Whether you travel alone, with family, or as a person with disabilities – everyone will find something for themselves in Chochołów.
Chochołowskie Thermal Baths – prices and opening hours
Chochołowskie Thermal Baths are located 20 km from Zakopane, about 2 kilometers in a straight line from the Slovak border, in the village of Chochołów, by provincial road no. 958. The complex offers a parking area with designated spaces for people with disabilities. The water temperature is always around 36 degrees Celsius, and you can enjoy outdoor pools even in winter.
Tickets can be purchased online in advance or directly at the ticket office. The current price list and opening hours are available on the website www.chocholowskietermy.pl. It is worth noting that the price list includes discounts for people with disabilities and their carers.
Chochołowskie Thermal Baths for people with disabilities
The entire pool complex is fully adapted for people with disabilities – I did not encounter any architectural barriers, and toilets and changing rooms for wheelchair users are easily accessible. However, I cannot fully assess entering and exiting the water or all facilities related to this. I do know that the facility is equipped with a pool lift that allows a seated person to be lowered into and lifted out of each pool.
Is it worth visiting Chochołowskie Thermal Baths?
I am impressed by the size of this place and its accessibility for people with disabilities. I truly wish there were such pools in my area. A visit to Chochołowskie Thermal Baths is a perfect combination of relaxation, activity, and contact with nature. Regardless of the season, it is worth coming here even for a few hours to feel the relaxation and the magic of the mountain climate. For anyone looking for comfortable rest and regeneration, Chochołowskie Thermal Baths are a place truly worth visiting. Even though I did not get to swim in any of the pools, I am very glad I had the opportunity to see such a modern and disability-friendly facility.
